SBC Managing Director Looking for Expansions to Online Gambling
The Sports Betting Community (SBC) is focused on substantial growth of online gambling options throughout the United States once the COVID-19 pandemic is contained.
Andrew McCarron, SBC’s managing director, spoke his views on the SBC sponsored Digital Summit scheduled from April 27 to May 1.
Planned Topics of Discussion During Digital Summit
Several gambling issues will be discussed throughout these panels, including:
- Online slots
- Sports betting
- Online casinos
Over ten thousand people are expected to be involved in these panel discussions. This will be the largest conference in online gambling history. It will feature over 140 speakers, all highly respected within the online gambling industry.
McCarron stated any state in the country that decide to continue withholding gambling restrictions to online gaming are hurting the economy due to the suspension of land-based casinos. Players from these restricted states will more than likely turn to unlicensed online gambling, cutting out state revenues from online betting.
A majority of individuals quarantined involved in the betting community have huge interest in online gambling. McCarron feels once the land-based casino reopens, many betters will continue their online experience due to the available accessibility.
Panel to Discuss Future for Online Gaming Industry
Effects due to COVID-19 will be a major focus during these meetings, regarding the rising interest in online gambling. McCarron believes these clients will continue to cater to online betting even once land-base enterprises will restart their gaming facilities. The state governments as well as the gaming facilities should prepare for player habits once the pandemic is contained and life begins to regain normalcy.
A major topic planned in these panels will be focused on online poker due to the suspension of nearly every sporting event worldwide. They will also be discussing on the positives and negatives of the increased demand of online casino gambling due to the closures of land-based operations.
The market of virtual sports and eSports will also be a front-line topic along with the latest developments on states’ sports wagering legislations.
McCarron also added the surge of online gambling to the pandemic increases the responsibilities for operators to take focus on making sure they are capitalizing on the boredom or vulnerable players.
“Betting is a form of entertainment for millions of people,” McCarron stated. 'The industry has its problems, but it also has plenty of positive aspects as well.”About / Advertising Disclosure
