If you’re still nervous about showing your face in a public area due to the coronavirus but starving for entertainment, DraftKings has Pennsylvanians covered if you’re looking to play casino games without having to leave your couch or bed.

DraftKings has developed an integrated sportsbook and casino app in the state of Pennsylvania over the past two months. The domination of the online gaming power has now cut ties and moved in a different direction.

DraftKings launched its standalone DraftKings Casino PA application on Tuesday, waiting less than a month after debuting their product in the state of New Jersey.

DraftKings Casino goes live in Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control  Board approved a ‘soft launch’ at the end of April, allowing DraftKings Casino games within their DraftKings online sportsbook. They are excited to pursue this opportunity and will be prepared to release its Casino product in additional states once legally allowed.

A press release was made public to the gaming community:

“iGaming fans in Pennsylvania will now have the opportunity to experience a more holistic product suite and dynamic gaming experience in a DraftKings-created Casino app. Like in New Jersey, the app features new games only found on DraftKings, plus revamped classics, including Blackjack and Roulette.”

The platform offers slots and table games with the addition of third-party operator developments such as International Gaming Technology.

DraftKings and FanDuel Taking over the Online Gaming World?

The two competitors have not surprised the gambling world as they have grown immensely since their companies introduced themselves to the community with daily fantasy sports. Their takeover over online gambling continues to expand throughout the country as they continue to grow past their initial moves in New Jersey. FanDuel did the same in Pennsylvania, and the recent feel from both enterprises give the vibe they are almost working together to take over American gambling.

The integrated apps and online casinos from both DraftKings and FanDuel have turned Pennsylvania into the next gold rush in the online gambling industry. Brand recognition has been an obvious contributing factor to their success, but their aggressiveness toward expansion is making both companies reap the benefits of their persistence. No sign of slowing down seems to be on the horizon for either of these high-fueled organizations.

They took over daily fantasy sports. They’re in the process of doing the same thing with the sports betting world. But now they are looking to take on the online casino world as well. They saw the catastrophic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic to the access of land-based casinos and struck while the fire was hot, pushing their way into any state or any casino that can legally open the door for their services.

The expansion of both corporations is far from over. As bills continue to legalize sports betting state by state, it is almost certain that both of these brands will be breathing down the legislation of those states.
